# Installation Guide How to install MIDAS Gen in Windows PC Download the latest version of MIDAS Gen from the official website or through your authorized licensed provider. Extract the downloaded file (if in ZIP/RAR format). Double-click the Setup.exe file (or any other installer file name) to initiate the installation.


If you get a Windows User Account Control (UAC) dialog, please click Yes to continue.


Choose your desired language for the installation and press the Next button. Read the license agreement and press Accept if you are okay with the terms. Select the destination folder for MIDAS Gen. Otherwise, you can keep the default one.


Choose the components you wish to install and press the Install button.


Wait for the installation to complete. It could take a few minutes depending on your computer. After successful installation, click the Finish button.


Go to the Start Menu or desktop to find the shortcut and launch MIDAS Gen. Log in with your MIDAS account and activate the active license you own. We advise to always check for updates to get access to the newest version and to fix the latest bugs.
